The XUSB DE solution is supplied with ademonstration application, requiring Photoshopsoftware, to illustrate its capability. It is alsooptimised to drive 8 of the company’s latestinnovation, the Xaar 1002 printhead, utilisinga specific head personality card (HPC) foreach printhead.

The XUSB DE minimises the cost and resource issues faced by OEMs and inkjet innovators when developing bespoke printing systems, and thereby drastically reduces time-to-market. Ideal for use as part of a developer kit or fully integrated into production machines for emerging industrial applications, the compact and robust electronics component can be controlled via a standard PC or laptop to enable quick and easy integration

Flexible and cost-effective

The compact and modular system, which is idealfor machine designs where space is at a premium,is capable of driving up to eight printheads via aUSB 2.0 port on a PC or laptop. With minimal softwaredevelopment, up to 12 XUSB boxes can beintegrated onto and controlled by a single computerto support up to a maximum of 96 printheads(depending upon type).

Designed to promote versatility, the XUSB DEsystem is easily adapted to meet complexprinthead layout architectures, enabling theintegrator to develop a printhead configurationthat best meets their needs.
