Xylo-oligosaccharide (XOS）, often called the xylo powder, is a functional polysaccharide formed by connecting 2-7 xylose molecules with the β-1，4 glucosidic bond. The main components are Xylobiose, Xylotriose, and Xylotetraose. Compared with the soybean oligosaccharides, fructooligosaccharides, and isomalto-oligosaccharide fwhihc commonly used by people, it has unique advantages that can can selectively promote the proliferation activity of intestinal bifidobacteria. Its function of bifidogenic factor is 10-20 times higher than that of other oligosaccharides and polysaccharides.
