Thallium doped cesium iodide scintilator

CsI(TI) is one of the brightest scintillators, which was widely used in radiation detection, high energy physics, safety inspection, geological exploration and so on, its maximum of the broad emission at 550nm, could match well with photodiode, so that make the read-out system simplied dramatically



EPIC growed cesium iodide crystal by using non-vacuum modified bridgman menthod with super pure 99.999% CsI material, the oxygen scavenger reacted with oxide impurities at high temperature, thus ensure the growing environment without oxygen, which was great helpful for the growth of crystal with high purity, meanwhile, the crystal`s anti-radiation hardness was improved dramatically as well.Most importantly, the application of multi-crucibles in the growth process reduced cost considerably
