¥Á-starch as additional material in the wet molding sand is used extensively in casting production. It is clear that ¥Á-starch could effectively improves the moulding sandÿ®s appearance, and reduces the reject rate, and raises the bright of casting surface.
a. ¥Á-starch is resisted.Thus can substitute for the times coal powder and preventing gluing sand defect and reduce the surface roughness, thus improving work environment
b. ¥Á-starch can raise hot wet intensity pulling of molding sand, the small opening that ¥Á-starch of sand mould surface is heated to burn retarded silicon sand being expanded in heat.
c. ¥Á-starch can reduce frictional resistance between molding sand and appearance, raise the molding sand tenacity, and notably reduce rising giving up mould.
d. In the more serious molding sand is joined that ¥Ástarch can raise the superficial intensity of sand mould, and raise resisted air-dry ability and the molten iron shock ability, and can prevent rushing sand and sand holes defect, effect is clear when using ¥Áÿ®s higher starch of fineness.
e. ¥Á-starch can notably reduce sensitivity to moisture content of molding sand, moisture content of molding sand and raising the molding sand tight, and make molding sand modeling, raising practical nature.
f. ¥Á-starch can reduce high temperature strength of molding sand, and improve the sand function.
¥Á-starch is convenient to use, and just need to mix a small quantity( generally 0.5-1¡¤) with sand according to the primary technology.
