Platinized sintered titanium felt is an ideal gas diffusion layer material for hydrogen fuel cells, which is characterized by high porosity and gradient pore size. The titanium fibers are processed into micron-sized fibers using a special technique. The electrolytic performance of titanium felt is significantly enhanced by coating the surface with a platinum catalyst.

Test data demonstrates that titanium felt exhibits the smallest overpotential due to its minimal ohmic resistance. This not only reduces energy consumption but also improves electrolytic performance. Furthermore, the voltage of titanium felt is lower indicating superior electrolytic performance. The high porosity and large pore size of titanium felt facilitate gas emission.
