What is RF Tapper?
RF tappers (also known as Signal Tappers, Signal Samplers, Power Tappers, Equal/Unequal Power Splitters or Dividers) are used to either evenly or unevenly sample or split RF signals in LTE, Tetra, private mobile radio (PMR), UMTS or WiFi systems for in-building and outdoor distributed antenna system (DAS) applications. Equal RF power tappers are reactive power dividers with an equal power split. Unequal RF power tappers are couplers, where the ratios of 1:30 to 1:1000 are the coupling value.
RF power tappers from Cellrise permit continuous direct current (DC) through the main line while passing RF power with minimal ripple and insertion loss.
