Ozanimod

Ozamod is a potential sphingosin-1 receptor agonist for the treatment of multiple sclerosis (MS) and ulcerative colitis, jointly developed by the Scripps Research Institute and Celgene, Inc., which can induce peripheral blood lymphocyte isolation and reduce the number of activated lymphocytes circulating to the gastrointestinal tract. According to detailed results from the TOUCHSTONE consolidation phase of the clinical trial, patients in the ozamod treatment group had significantly higher clinical response compliance or sclerotinization rates at week 32 than those in the placebo group. Ozamod is an agonist that binds to the S1P1 and S1P5 receptors. Experiments on rodents have shown that ozanimol is effective against autoimmune diseases.
