Mooring Buoys, Anchor Buoys, Chain Support Buoys

The HONGRUNTONG Chain Support Buoy is designed to withstand the harsh operating conditions associated with offshore operations.



In order to achieve these characteristics, the internal buoyancy core is achieved by using expanded cross-linked polyethylene spirally curved sheets. The use of fully enclosed foamed polyethylene ensures the unsinkability of the buoy and prevents accidental and serious damage during operation.

The outer polyurethane shell provides the necessary abrasion resistance and UV resistance for the buoy. The standard exterior color is ocean orange, but the buoy can be manufactured in different colors if required.


Core:

The cylinder is made of expanded closed-cell polyethylene foam with a density of 40-45 Kg/m±.

The expanded polyethylene layer is heat sealed to achieve the necessary buoy volume. Expanded polyethylene (EPE) has excellent energy absorption properties and high strength properties. It is a flexible, lightweight material, environmentally friendly, easy to recycle, and 100% non-toxic. EPE has excellent energy absorption characteristics, weight-to-strength ratio, high heat resistance and resistance to water, oil and most chemicals. This material can withstand multiple shocks without causing major damage.



Skin:

The shell is made of 8 mm thick orange elastic polyurethane foam. Elastomer polyurethane is the product of a chemical reaction between isocyanate and polyol, 100% manufactured and tested by our R&D laboratory before production. The polyurethane elastomer ensures good protection against wear, impact and UV rays. In addition, it also ensures good adhesion to polyethylene and steel.



Steel Parts:

The buoy is equipped with a penetrating steel tie rod, a steel plate and stiffening rods at both ends, and a marine swivel SWL 17 tons at both ends for the chain. The rotating shaft is locked with two nuts and tie rods. The metal parts are sandblasted, galvanized and coated with marine polyurethane paint.
