Manidipine hydrochloride

Manidipine 2HCl (CV-4093), the hydrochloride form of Manidipine, is a calcium channel blocker with an IC50 of 2.6 nM and is commonly used clinically as an antihypertensive agent. At a holding potential of −37mV, Manidipine decreases the CaManidipine concentration-dependent inhibition of calcium ion concentration response at concentrations higher than 0.1nM. Manidipine inhibited coronary and renal arteries with pIC50 of 9.3nM and 9.1nM, respectively. ManidipineChemicalbook partially suppressed sympathetic nerve activity and inhibited mean arterial pressure response to norepinephrine infusion. Manidipine also inhibits aldosterone secretion. Manidipine increases urinary calcium and uric acid. In addition, Manidipine, at nanomolar levels, can effectively regulate the transcription of genes involved in pro-inflammatory changes in mesangial cells.
