Description: Asiatic ginseng is a small perennial plant which grows in the damp woodlands of Manchuria. The fruit is a small red, edible, berry. The aromatic root commonly grows to a length of 2 feet or more and is often divided at the end.
Function:
1) Increases energy, counters the effects of stress, and enhances intellectual and physical performance by one of it's constituents, ginsenosides;
2) Helps lower blood sugar, and the polysaccharides (complex sugar molecules), which support immune function by one of it's constituents, panaxans.
