1. Therapeutic indications
- Treatment of euthyroid goiter, mainly in adults when iodine is not indicated
- Prophylaxis of relapse after surgery for euthyroid goiter, depending on the post-operative hormone status
- Substitution therapy in hypothyroidism
- Suppression therapy in thyroid cancer
- Concomitant supplementation during antithyroid drug treatment of hyperthyroidism
- Diagnostic use for thyroid suppression testing
