Colorless liquid. Melting Point -64.6 ® C, Boiling Point 146-148 ® C, 69 ® C (6.7 KPA-RRB- , relative density 0.894(20/C ® c) , refractive index 1.4174. Flash Point (closed cup)39 ® C. Soluble in ethanol, ether, acetone and other organic solvents. It is almost insoluble in water, with a solubility of 0.14 g/100 ml (20 ® C) in water. It is easy to polymerize under heating and can be inhibited by adding 100 ppm hydroquinone.
