Blue Marlin BMF 2-Speed Casting Reels contain two sets of stainless steel main and pinion gears to provide 2 different gear ratios: a powerful low-speed for easy trophy landing, and a high-speed gear ratio for lure retrieve. The shifting system is reliable and very easy to use, simply push the button for low speed gear, and push the switch back for high speed gear.
Blue Marlin reels use state-of-art carbon based drag materials for smooth and durable drag performance. The 6061-T6 Machine Cut One Piece Aluminum Frame provides not only very light and reliable construction, but also anodized for maximum corrosion resistance. Blue Marlin use corrosion resistance ball bearings in of their reels for smooth performance, and they use heat-treated stainless gears to ensure maximum strength and long-term use.
