API Kelly Cock Valve/ Kelly valve for oil drilling

1. Kelly Valve is one of effective blowout prevention tools in the drilling, and it is divided into upper kelly valve and lower kelly valve according to the position. The upper kelly valve is connected upper end of kelly; the lower kelly valve is connected lower end of kelly. The kelly valve can be opened on or closed off by turning the special operating wrench. In case of well kick or blowout, turn the operating stem to “off” position to close off the internal bore of drill string, so as to achieve the purpose of blowout prevention.

2. Kelly valve is a manually operated ball type valve for the drill stem which can prevent from well kick and blowout. Kelly valve is designed according to API SPEC 7-1 standard, which can be used as a upper/lower kelly valve or mud protection valve. Because of light weight, it becomes the ideal safety valve on the surface of land.

3. Kelly valve is a ball vale with simple structure and easy maintenance, because it has the full opening characteristic that can reduce washout of key component form drilling mud. Kelly valve is designed with integral structure that ensures connection and accordance with API standard.
