In its 2nd year, the HRcoreACADEMY will be focusing on a number of key areas of strategic focus for you to become better at what you do:There clearly seems to be a need to develop innovative ways to attract, source, recruit, and access talent and drive passion/ engagement in organisations globally and locally. If we truly want to build organisations that can innovate time and again, it is clearly not enough to rethink our criteria for selecting Talents. We must also ask ourselves: What are the stretch assignments or the growth opportunities that will help people develop the mindset and skills required to lead innovation? Formal Coaching, Mentoring and 70-20-10 programmes may not be the way.
Global surveys/ reports also highlight the importance of broadening, deepening, and accelerating leadership development at all levels; build global workforce capabilities and re-energize corporate learning & development. Relying on formal development mechanisms alone may be hindering organisations everywhere from building their innovation capacity . Are the high potentials in your organisation encouraged to identify and take on self-managed entrepreneurial projects with groups of diverse people? Our leadership development efforts will need to be critically reimagined, and more inclusive, if we hope to develop a new generation of innovation leaders.
And finally, all this under a global HR umbrella that is robust and flexible enough to adapt to local needs.
