Our main product is oat-beta-glucan GPC standard for establishing the working curve to measure the molecular weights of unknown carbohydrate polymers. The range of molecular weights is from 10,000 to 1,400,000 with the dispersity of 1.01 to 1.05. And for the standards with molecular weights below 100,000, the dispersity can reach 1.001 to 1.005. In addition, the research showed that oat-beta-glucan standard has a linear chain with mixed linkage of (1­3) and (1­4) and the ratio of tri- and tetra- building blocks is ~2:1. The structural characterization indicated that PS-OBG have a more expanded chain conformation so that it can be applied in more macromolecules.

What is more, we offer carbohydrate polymer standards with different chemical structures. Firstly, we are providing 1-3, 1-4 linked linear beta-glucans from oat, barley and wheat. The difference among them is the ratios of tri- and tetra- building blocks. Because in 1998, FDA released the health claims on oats as a kind of dietary fibers to improve the human digestion, there are more researchers to study oats on their physiological properties. Thus, Putus is providing beta-glucan standards to study their bioactivity. Secondly, Putus is also providing the galactomannan standards with different branching ratios from four gums. They are only identified by their ratios of galactose and manmose.
