Shandong pesticide research institute was established in 1966. And it is a specialized institute for pesticide. Now it has 110 people, 80% of whom are technicians. The fixed assets are 20 million. And we have become an influential research institute.
After 40 yearsý­ developing, a series of pesticide research system has been built, and 5million RMB has been invested to introduce advanced devices. Then the Provincial Key Laboratory for Chemical Pesticides in Shandong was founded.
Our research directions are as follows: 1) synthetic technology: mainly to develop new pesticides and improve the old processes; 2) analysis and detection: mainly to analyze the required raw materials, intermediates and products; 3) bioassay: to assay and sieve the new pesticide, developing effects of new pesticide on crops.
Since establishment we have gained over 100 technology achievements, including more than 10 national patents, of which 50 items are awarded with national, ministerial, provincial technology results honor. The new process of phoxim has been awarded the first prize of advancement in technology in Shandong province, the second prize of advancement in technology of nation; the new process of paraquat has been awarded the first prize of advancement in technology in Shandong; the new process of methomyl has been awarded the second prize of advancement in technology. Whatý­s more we have been keeping stable relations with many large-scale enterprises such as Shandong Dacheng Pesticide Co., Ltd and Jiangsu Yangnong Chemical Group Co., Ltd. Our institute is one of the managers of the six topics of the technology planning projects in the eleventh five-year plan in pesticide.The main products we manufactered are paraquat,tebufenozide,bensultap,etc.
